Osteoarthritis 

Involves mainly the larger, weight-bearing joints and thought to be due to wear and tear as it affects mostly older age individuals.

Although eighty per cent of people over the age of 65 years have x-ray evidence of osteoarthritis, only 25% appear to have symptoms.
