Macular Degeneration 

The macula, part of the retina at the back of the eye, is responsible for taking light and colour back to the brain. Any scarring to this tissue which affects these nerves will result in macular degeneration.

Several factors may induce the scarring of macular degeneration including: 

- Infection with pathogenic organisms (bacteria, viruses, fungus/Candida and parasites)
